Who ever said

That once you become a mom you can't dress sexy anymore?
well I say to hell with them I might be a thick girl, I might be a mom  but that does not mean I can not dress in some tight jeans and cute v-neck top or even to go as far as to wear a short skirt  high knee boots and a shirt that shows some cleavage. You are only as sexy as you feel and for me dressing sexy and young makes me feel impowred and HOT. So why not go out to the grocery store dressed up, makeup on and feeling your best. Let everyone know you love who you are. Girls my body is not perfect but I dress as if it were why? because it makes me feel as if I was simple as that. It took me many years to figure this out and once I did I had never felt better even after becoming a mom.

how old is to old

In your opinion how old is to old  for a child to drink from a bottle or breast?

For me to old is 14 or so months my boys were off the boob at 3 months and off the bottle and onto a sippy at 6-8 months. I did it so early so that they were not one of those kids 3-5 that still uses a bottle. In my opinion that is just way to old and is just laziness on the parents side. the child cries and " pop" in goes the bottle or pacifier " what the hell see what your child really wants or needs" because 9 times out of 10 its not the bottle .

How old is to old for diapers?

On this one I would say 18-36 months no longer. If the parent takes the time to teach the kid how to use the potty it should not go past that time both my boys learned at or before there 2nd birthday I did have a little set back with my youngest when we moved up here to Alaska but we got back on track thank God is was such a money saver. My point being parents need to take the time for their kids and teach them the important things.

these opinions are based on average children and are not to offend anyone sorry if it did or does.

homemade granola bars

My husband like to take granola bars to work to snack on so I decided to try and make them today instead of buying them. We already had everything in our pantury to make them so it wound up costing nothing. Here is the recipe :

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces old-fashioned rolled oats, approximately 2 cups
  • 1 1/2 ounces raw sunflower seeds, approximately 1/2 cup
  • 3 ounces sliced almonds, approximately 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 ounces wheat germ, approximately 1/2 cup
  • 6 ounces honey, approximately 1/2 cup
  • 1 3/4 ounces dark brown sugar, approximately 1/4 cup packed
  • 1-ounce unsalted butter, plus extra for pan
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 1/2 ounces chopped dried fruit, any combination of apricots, cherries or blueberries

Directions

Butter a 9 by 9-inch glass baking dish and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Spread the oats, sunflower seeds, almonds, and wheat germ onto a half-sheet pan. Place in the oven and toast for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In the meantime, combine the honey, brown sugar, butter, extract and salt in a medium saucepan and place over medium heat. Cook until the brown sugar has completely dissolved.

Once the oat mixture is done, remove it from the oven and reduce the heat to 300 degrees F. Immediately add the oat mixture to the liquid mixture, add the dried fruit, and stir to combine. Turn mixture out into the prepared baking dish and press down, evenly distributing the mixture in the dish and place in the oven to bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container for up to a week.

well looks like they came out well I just hope they tast as good as they look.

clorox wipes

Here is an item I can not live without. I use these for everything from mopping up spills to wipping marker off the wall. I have tried other brands but they just don't work as well as clorox does. I only wish they had a rougher side to scrub better. The best part about the clorox wipe is that thay do not contain bleach but they clean as if they did.

I would give this product an 8 of 10

UGH

I HATE CLOUDY DAYS .
I get in to a stressed mood even without anything happening just seeing one thing out of place or a mess makes me even more stressed and mad. So then I get into a cleaning fit and that isn't such a bad thing I guess. On days like these I just need to get out of the house and relax but that never happens right.Thats the price of being a sahm those days onces in awile you just need to get away so you don't explode but then at the end of the day you see the smiles on those tiny faces and it makes it all worth wile who knew right.

We all have those kinds of days what do you do to calm the stress? music, dancing with my boys around the house and cleaning seem to help me.

I sell Avon and I was thinking about selling online too. If I did would any one buy from me or should I just keep doing like i'm doing or go through with it ? I am doing well with it  but I could sell a lot online if i find people to buy. So what do you all think .

Spring in Alaska

Ahh spring in Alaska is just amazing but so darn unpredictable it can be sunny in the morning rain in the evening and sun again at night ( yes I said sun at night it's Alaska). Spring to me means quiet nights because I can take the boys to the park and wear them out. Its nice to have a park right down the street it is so convenient and the boys love it.

With spring here I have been thinking about getting the boys bikes this year (they have scooters right now).
I never knew how many people rode bikes up here until spring came around then it seemed like everyone would leave their cars at home and bring the bikes out. Even Isaias rides his bike to work when its nice out I mean its only 5-6 miles and we do that in the gym all the time but it helps save us money on gas and save the environment right.

Isaias and I were talking today about once the snow is all gone on the mountains that we want to go hiking I can not wait I'm thinking late may to early june I am tring to get ready by going to the gym I hope I am ready.

The runaway bunny

Our latest read is called "The runaway bunny" by Margaret Wise Brown.  In this book about a  baby bunny wants to run away  so he tell his mom differnt was of how he will runaway and she is always right there with ways to be with him like if he ranaway to be a fish she would be a fisherman. In this book it just shows how much a mother can love her child. Showing the child  that even when he dosn't want her or need her she will be there for when he does want her and need her that she never left him.

It is such a great book for kids that are just starting school or have troubles leaving their parents. I would recomend this book to any and all.

egg hunting yesterday

Yesterday we went to two different egg hunts around anchorage the first one was put on by a local church. There were a lot of people but there were a lot more eggs that took up a whole school field the boys loved it and did i mention it was all free.

The second we paid $2.00 per child and it was put on by anchorage parks. It was all kindergarten and younger but not enough eggs only about 400 eggs for 50 + kids it was over before it began not worth the money we will not be going back to that one next year.

The kids had fun either way so that is what counts.

wow what a morning

First of all i'm amazed i'm awake i got to bed at 4 this morning and why? Because a good movie came on at 1 and I couldn't stop myself from watching it all the way through. The movie was The age of inosence i liked it, it was my first time watching it there are so many movies I have never seen and I kinda have a thing for late 1800's books and movies. So I woke up looked at the news papper and guess what   no coupons so I am pisssed now. I know it is Easter and all but I want my coupons eather way and now I am going to have to print all of them out and I am almost out of ink "sigh". Just a bad morning I guess I hope it gets better or else I might freak and that right now is a 75% chance lol. Let see how it goes!
